St Mary's is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Morning sessions are from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include breakfast (at 9 a.m.), mid-morning snack (10.30 a.m.) and lunch (12 p.m.). Afternoon sessions are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and include a mid-afternoon snack at 4 p.m. If at all possible St Mary's aims to accommodate parents work commitments by being flexible with the set times.
Your child will take part in a wide range of recreational and learning activities. Details of all activities can be found on the parent information boards in each room and children's work is displayed throughout the nursery.
Parents are invited to send in bottles already prepared for their babies and when your child is ready for weaning we will ensure that your child's food is pureed or mashed according to your wishes.
All children are encouraged to eat well and to try new tastes. Any special dietary requirements for your child will be recorded in our database, ensuring safety is paramount at all times
We provide children with a well balanced midday meal or you can either bring a packed lunch for them.
Breakfast is a usually a choice of cereals and toast and a drink.
Morning snack is a choice of a variety of fruits.
Some examples of Afternoon Snacks:
- Beans on Toast / Sandwiches / Pitta Bread with Salad / Crumpets
- Baked Beans / Pepper and Carrot Sticks with Dips / Rice Pudding
- Yoghurts / Fruit / Biscuits / Crackers
- Milk / Fruit Juice / Water
